Rosters that know who's on leave

Build each person's regular week once. Onborda generates the weeks ahead, flags leave, clashes and short cover, and emails everyone their shifts when a manager confirms the week.

Weekly Templates, Generated Ahead

Set each person's regular shifts once — days, times and roles. Onborda builds the coming weeks from that template automatically, anywhere from two weeks to six months out, so next week's roster is ready before anyone asks for it.

Draft, Confirm, Notify

Each week starts as a draft that managers adjust shift by shift. Confirming it emails everyone on the roster their shifts; change a confirmed week later and only the people affected get an update. A reminder goes out when a draft week is about to start unconfirmed.

Leave-Aware by Default

Approved leave, half days and public holidays show on the roster, and the rotation's owner is emailed if leave is approved over a confirmed shift. The roster shows that someone is away — never the type of leave or why. Pending leave is visible only to the person, their managers and HR.

Roles and Cover with Tags

Tag shifts with the roles that matter — Supervisor, Standby, First Aider. Give a tag a daily minimum and maximum, and the week view flags any day that falls short or runs over before you confirm it.

Staff Can Volunteer

Employees request a tag on a future date — standby on Saturday, say — even on a day they aren't rostered. Managers see competing requests side by side, accept or decline, and the employee is emailed the outcome.

Clash Detection

Double bookings across rotations are flagged, including overnight shifts that run past midnight. So are days that stop being working days when a work pattern changes or a public holiday is added.

Follows Your Reporting Lines

A rotation's owner and the managers above them run it; HR administrators can manage any rotation in their company. Everyone in the company sees confirmed rosters — drafts stay with the people building them.

Print, Export, Ask

Print the schedule to PDF or export it to Excel for the noticeboard or payroll. With MCP integration, AI assistants can answer "who's on standby this weekend?" straight from the roster.
